Org of the Week: InPlanet

InPlanet is a remote-first, people-centered ClimateTech company co-headquartered in Germany and Brazil, founded in August 2022 by Felix Harteneck and Niklas Kluger. Focused on removing gigatons of CO₂ through Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW), the company works with tropical farmers to promote sustainable agriculture. The idea was sparked by the founders’ shared passion for the environment and a reunion in Brazil that revealed the vast potential of ERW.

In just two years, InPlanet has grown to a 50-person team across 16 nationalities, secured $6.5 million in funding, and spread 50,000 tons of rock powder—on track to reach 200,000 tons by 2025. Their work not only captures CO₂ but also improves soil health and strengthens food systems, all in pursuit of a more livable planet.
