Janine Hensel is a Senior Scientist at 10x Genomics, specializing in the development of single cell and in situ products, including protocols for the Xenium product, since March 2021. Previously, Janine served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where research focused on engineered siRNA encapsulated exosomes for improved oncogene inhibition in pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma. Janine also held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Insel Gruppe, investigating the role of mesenchymal cells in cancer support at bone metastatic sites. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Bern, a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from RWTH Aachen University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universität Rostock.
