Sisco van Veen

Stichting 113 wil zelfmoord en suïcidaal gedrag voorkómen. 113 wil mensen met suïcidale gedachten, hun naasten en nabestaanden ondersteunen. 113 Zelfmoordpreventie realiseert haar missie door zelfmoord bespreekbaar te maken, door mensen te helpen zichzelf te helpen, en anderen te helpen, door drempels naar passende hulpverlening te verlagen, door nieuwe vormen van hulp- en dienstverlening te ontwikkelen, door wetenschappelijk onderzoek te doen naar wat zelfmoord helpt voorkómen. Zorgprofessionals en organisaties kunnen 113 inschakelen voor suïcidepreventie op de werkvloer. Wij geven trainingen, lezingen en workshops. 113 doet onderzoek naar suïcidepreventie. Dit bestaat uit het versterken van de hulpverlening bij 113, de evaluatie van landelijke 113-projecten en inzicht geven in landelijke vraagstukken (CBS). Samen met VUMC Psychiatrie en VU klinische psychologie is 113 Zelfmoordpreventie partner in het nationale research consortium SureNet: Suïcide Research Netherlands. Het richt zich op wetenschappelijk onderzoek om een daling van het aantal suïcides in Nederland te bewerkstelligen.
