John is the Founder and CEO at 17 Asset Management, where he manages the firm’s overarching strategy. John’s career began with 23 years at Merrill Lynch, 15 years working in London and Dubai, then New York where he was Chairman of Latin America and Head of International Product and Marketing. Following Merrill Lynch, John co-founded Clearbrook Global Advisors, an institutional asset management advisory firm that grew assets to over $20 billion in AUAs. Following Clearbrook John co-founded Snowden Lane Advisors, a wealth management firm currently with $6 billion in AUM. In addition to managing 17 Asset Management, John also serves as Managing Partner of SOCAP Global where he designed the Total Impact Portfolio Challenge, an annual competition to equip students with the ability to design and execute investment portfolios that maximize impact across asset classes.
