Chan Woo Yang

Chan Woo Yang is a research software engineer at 1QBit, focusing on quantum computing and optimization software development since January 2021. Prior to this, Chan served as a controls software engineer at Westport Fuel Systems, where software for natural gas engines and LNG tanks was developed and validated. Chan also has experience as a graduate student researcher at UC Berkeley, collaborating with NASA Ames Research Center on Tensegrity Robotics projects, and held positions as an undergraduate research assistant and intern at McGill University's Acoustics & Vibration Laboratory. Education includes a Master of Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University, with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Software Engineering.
