Anil Merugu has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Anil started their career as a Collections Specialist at JPMorgan Chase Bank in 2010. Anil then joined Accenture in India as a Technical Support Specialist - ATnT in 2011, and later became a Financial Analyst and Senior Financial Analyst. In 2016, Anil joined Vocus and served as a Senior Technical Multispecialist, Technical 2IC, and Technical Team Lead until 2021. Anil then transitioned to the Department of Corrections NZ, where they worked as a Team Leader - National Operations (Electronic Monitoring) until 2023. Currently, Anil is working as an Outbound Sales Team Lead at 2degrees.
Anil Merugu completed a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (IHM MUMBAI) between 2006 and 2009. Later, from 2016 to 2017, Anil pursued an Advanced Diploma in Networks & System Administration - Level 7 at the International College of Auckland.

2degrees is a full service telecommunications provider. We launched in 2009, significantly lowering the cost of mobile for Kiwis, but we've actually been around a little while longer. Back in the 90s a visionary group of Maori challenged the crown through the Treaty of Waitangi and won the rights to 3G spectrum. Despite financial and regulatory adversity a Maori Trust (Hautaki) was established with the challenge of launching New Zealand’s third mobile network. Since then, we’ve been busy. We have built a brand new mobile network, helping us to cover 98.5% of the places Kiwis live and work. In March 2015 we also acquired NZ's fourth largest ISP (Snap), and now offer internet services as well as mobile to Kiwis across the country. We all really believe in what we are trying to accomplish for our customers and New Zealand. We’ve even been lucky enough to be recognised for it along the way, with a number of awards for our customer service over the years.
