Michael Sarkis

Michael Sarkis is a Senior Data Scientist at 2nd Order Solutions, specializing in statistical modeling and credit risk solutions for consumer and small business lending since July 2022. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist role at Duke University, where instruction was provided to over 25 students in Data Analysis using R, and a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. Michael also served as a Business Analyst at 2nd Order Solutions for a brief period and gained experience as a Student Statistician at Cornell University, recording and analyzing athletic statistics. Additional experience includes a research internship at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, focusing on biosecurity threats and developing quantitative metrics for scientific potential. Michael holds a Master of Science in Statistical Science from Duke University and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Economics from Cornell University.
