Dr. Gretton was responsible for diagnostic innovation centred primarily on Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) technology when applied to saliva samples taken from symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals. This technology was deployed within the NHS amongst other settings, to aid the rapid diagnosis of the SARS-COV-2 virus and prevent further onward transmission. Her rich background and varied experiences place her in a unique position to learn with an open mind and see from a perspective that is not only patient-centric but planet centric too. Her tenacity and drive to improve current ways of working and accepted norms have seen her succeed where others would have failed, and this was challenged to the limits during her tenure under government employ.
