Chip Baird

Chip Baird is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the biotech and finance sectors. Since November 2021, Chip has served as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer at 2seventy bio, an immuno-oncology cell therapy company. Additionally, Chip holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at Deep Genomics and has served as a Board Member at Axcella. Prior to 2seventy bio, Chip was Chief Financial Officer at bluebird bio and Amicus Therapeutics, and Chief Financial Officer at PTC Therapeutics, where significant capital was raised. Chip's career began as an Engagement Manager at L.E.K. Consulting and as an Underwriter at First Union National Bank. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a BSFS in International Affairs from Georgetown University.
