Yosimir Acosta has worked in the IT field since 2012. Yosimir began their career as an IT Manager at KCSA Strategic Communications, where they managed office servers, workstations, virtual machines, firewalls, routers, and switches. Yosimir also converted physical servers to virtual machines with no downtime. Yosimir then moved to Columbia University in the City of New York in 2016, where they served as a System Administrator. In this role, they designed and developed full stack microservice web applications for the largest Columbia Engineering department, and deployed the Grafana analytics platform to monitor and optimize all department web applications and Linux systems in production. Yosimir also implemented policies, procedures, and automated solutions when system failures were discovered to prevent reoccurrence and ensure service uptime. Currently, they are a Senior System Engineer at 33Across Inc., where they continue to work in the IT field.
Yosimir Acosta attended City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems.
