Luca Farfanelli has a diverse work experience in the solar industry. Luca is currently working as the Head of Channel Sales Manager at 3Sun since October 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Sales at BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution / ITA from June 2022 to September 2022.
From 2019 to 2022, Luca worked at LG Electronics Italia, first as a Solar Key Account Manager from May 2019 to May 2021, and then as a Solar Sales Manager from May 2021 to June 2022.
Before that, they worked at aleo solar from 2008 to 2019, where they held various roles including Sales and Product Manager from June 2014 to April 2019, Center Italy Sales Responsible from February 2011 to June 2014, and Sales Manager from June 2008 to February 2011.
Luca's early experience includes working as a Junior Project Engineer at POLIMATE S.R.L. from January 2007 to May 2008, and as a Trainer at Ambios - Techomeasy Srl from January 2005 to December 2006, where they gained experience in photovoltaic plant design, installation, and monitoring, as well as home automation system development.
Luca Farfanelli obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Executive MBA from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. This was completed between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, Luca earned an Engineer's master degree in Automation technology and TLC Engineering from Università degli Studi di Perugia, which was completed from 2004 to 2006. Prior to the Engineer's master degree, Luca also obtained an Engineer's degree in Information Engineering from the same university, which was completed from 2001 to 2004. Furthermore, Luca has obtained additional certifications such as "Make the Move from Individual Contributor to Manager" and "New Manager Foundations" from LinkedIn, in August 2021.

3SUN is the largest Italian Photovoltaic Factory, intended to compete with the most important European and worldwide companies in this sector. An Industrial Project born from the joint venture agreement between Enel Green Power (ENEL Group Company, dedicated to the development and management of activities related to renewable energy at an international level), Sharp Corporation (Japanese giant pioneering in photovoltaic, creator of the unique triple-junction thin film technology) and STMicroelectronics (pioneering company in microelectronics, owner of the Industrial Site where the Company is located), who combined their outstanding technical skills gained from experiences of absolute excellence in their respective sectors. A new and important challenge in the renewable energy sector, with significant implications for employment in Sicily. Multi-junction thin film photovoltaic panels will be produced in the innovative Plant, located in Catania Industrial Area, with an initial production capacity in 2011 equal to 160 MW/year and intended to increase in the coming years. 3SUN will produce multi-junction, thin-film photovoltaic cells and modules. The Business Strategy of the Joint Venture provides the sale of the manufactured photovoltaic modules through the main sales channels, represented by shareholders and their affiliates.
