Stanley Yuen

Stanley Yuen has a diverse work experience with a focus on research and education. Stanley started their career as a Student Intern at Chabot Space & Science Center, where they gained hands-on experience in astronomy and science education. Stanley then became a Watershed Restoration Intern at EarthTeam, where they worked on environmental conservation projects and engaged in peer-to-peer education activities.

Stanley continued to pursue research opportunities as an Academic Success Mentor at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In this role, they supported students with their academic and personal issues, helping them improve their study habits and introducing them to available resources on campus.

Stanley further expanded their research skills as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they contributed to scientific projects in biology. Stanley also served as a Biology Tutor, providing academic support to fellow students.

Stanley then joined Berkeley Lab as a Research Affiliate Intern in two separate periods. Stanley contributed to research projects and gained valuable experience in a professional research setting.

Most recently, Stanley has been working at 4D Molecular Therapeutics as a Research Associate. Stanley'srole involves conducting research and making contributions to the development of therapeutic technologies.

Stanley Yuen completed their education at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology with a field of study in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. Prior to attending university, they attended Skyline High School from 2011 to 2015, but did not obtain a specific degree or field of study during that time. In addition to their formal education, Stanley has also obtained several certifications in various safety training courses from Berkeley Lab, including fire extinguisher safety, working safely with compressed gas, cryogen safety, electrical hazards and mitigations, hazardous waste generator, self-transporting hazardous material, working safely in a biosafety cabinet, biohazardous/medical waste management, biosafety training for researchers, overview of environment/health/safety, emergency management and trafficking persons, chemical hygiene and safety, general employee radiological training, and fire extinguisher safety.
