Andrew Drain is a Senior Product Design Engineer at 4DMedical, specializing in the design of the XV Scanner, an innovative x-ray lung imaging device, focusing on aesthetic, UX, and mechanical aspects. With a solid foundation in engineering and product design, Andrew has previously served as a Manufacturing Engineer at Natures Organics Pty Ltd, leading mechanical design and NPD processes, and as a Technology Development Lead for Engineers Without Borders Australia, where Andrew championed projects in multiple countries. Additional experience includes roles at UNLEASH as an Innovation Facilitator, lecturing in Product Design Engineering at Massey University, and various engineering positions at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Metro GlassTech. Andrew holds a PhD in Engineering from Massey University and has extensive expertise in mechanical design, risk management, and human-centered design.
