Stephen Friend is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as President and Co-Founder at 4YouandMe since November 2017, Stephen has also operated as an Independent Entrepreneur since December 2017. Prior experience includes pivotal roles such as President and Co-Founder of Sage Bionetworks from June 2009 to June 2016 and Senior Vice President at Merck from 2001 to 2009. Earlier in the career, Stephen held the position of CEO at Rosetta Inpharmatics from 1997 to 2001, and contributed to Apple for a brief period between June 2016 and November 2017.

4YouandMe
4YouandMe (www.4youandme.org) is a nonprofit built to empower individuals interested in sharing their own health related data and insights for the benefit of all. Using smart phones and other wearables, we work towards enabling people to better avoid and or navigate their chronic medical conditions. We do this by engaging feasibility studies primarily carried out with our coalition partners who design the needed apps, tools, and approaches to analyzing the collected data. We consider that this must be done within a system where insights and support are built by each other for each other.
