Robert Sanchez is an accomplished journalist and educator with a significant body of work in various roles across multiple media organizations. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member in Media, Film, and Journalism Studies at the University of Denver since September 2022, Robert leads classes in nonfiction writing and reporting. As a Senior Staff Writer for 5280 Magazine since July 2007, Robert has garnered numerous accolades, including being named the City and Regional Magazine Association's Writer of the Year multiple times and achieving recognition from the National Magazine Awards. Previous experience includes positions at The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Associated Press, with a strong focus on enterprise and sports journalism. Robert holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
