8400 The Health Network
Amir (Amiki) Szold, MD, FACS is a Clinical Professor of Surgery and Medical Director at The Helmsley Center for Surgical Training and MSR, Israel Center for Medical Simulation, since January 2024. As a member of 8400 - The Health Network since January 2021, Amir is also the Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Human Xtensions, a startup specializing in innovative electromechanical tools for minimally invasive surgery, and has served as Medical Director and Senior Partner at Assia Medical, the largest surgical group practice in Israel. Additional advisory roles include positions with TISSIUM, GI Windows, Lifebond, Asymmetric, Virtual Ports, and Eudaimonia Position. Amir is recognized for expertise across various fields of general surgery, underpinned by an MD degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem obtained between 1979 and 1986.

On a mission to drive an Israeli economic growth engine in HealthTech and accelerate global cure, 8400 The Health Network is weaving a network of HealthTech ecosystem leaders, across silos and sectors, who learn together and create gap-closing projects that will propel a thriving HealthTech industry in Israel. The 8400 Fellowship runs annual cohorts of 60 senior Israeli leaders each, for an intensive 17 day program across 7 months.
