Maria Ben-Assa is a seasoned professional in health administration and medical technology with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Head of Innovation at the Ministry of Health Israel and a member of the 8400 Network since November 2019, Maria has previously held significant positions including Director of HealthHub and Pharmacy Informatics and Insights Expert at Medisafe. Maria's background includes roles in process improvement and data analysis at Brigham and Women's Hospital, research at Harvard Kennedy School, and key leadership positions in the Israel Defense Forces where Maria managed comprehensive pharmacy services. Maria holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a Master in Health Administration from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

On a mission to drive an Israeli economic growth engine in HealthTech and accelerate global cure, 8400 The Health Network is weaving a network of HealthTech ecosystem leaders, across silos and sectors, who learn together and create gap-closing projects that will propel a thriving HealthTech industry in Israel. The 8400 Fellowship runs annual cohorts of 60 senior Israeli leaders each, for an intensive 17 day program across 7 months. The program’s tailor-made curriculum is creating a continuous platform for breaking silos, peer learning and designing ecosystem growth initiatives. 8400 fellowship graduates join the 8400 Network.
