Kushantha R.

Kushantha R. has extensive work experience in the field of application and information security. Kushantha started their career at TechCERT in 2017, where they worked as an Information Security Engineer. In this role, they conducted various penetration testing activities, including thick application, network, and web application penetration testing. Kushantha also provided technical support and guidance to remediate vulnerabilities and prepared proof of concepts. Kushantha R. also conducted web application vulnerability assessments based on the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) guidelines for TechCERT clients.

After working at TechCERT for two years, Kushantha R. joined UK as a Penetration Tester in 2019. Kushantha then moved on to Dialog Axiata PLC in the same year, where they worked as a Specialist in Cyber Security Threat Hunting. In this position, they focused on identifying and analyzing cyber threats to ensure the security of the company's systems and networks. Kushantha stayed with Dialog Axiata PLC until 2020.

In 2020, Kushantha R. joined both Boligmappa and 99X Technology as a Senior Application Security Engineer. In these roles, they take on the responsibility of ensuring the security of applications by identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.

Kushantha R. attended Staffordshire University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering [BEng (Hons)] degree in Computer Networks and Security.

In February 2018, they received the Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer certification from Palo Alto Networks. Kushantha R. also holds the AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in January 2020. They have three other certifications from AWS: Amazon Web Services Security Specialty (obtained in January 2020) and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate (obtained in December 2019).
