Michael Shi

Michael Shi serves as the Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer for A. O. Smith Corporation, a position held since June 2022. Previously, Michael held key legal and compliance roles at Airbus as Head of Legal and Compliance for China from January 2019 to June 2022, and at Lumileds as Sr. Legal & Compliance Director for Asia Pacific between November 2017 and January 2019. Early career includes positions such as Legal Director for Asia/Pacific at Flowserve Corporation, Assistant Regional Counsel at Diageo, and Legal Manager for MENA at Huawei Technologies. Michael began professional legal career at Tencent as Senior Legal Counsel. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) from UNSW and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Southwest University of Political Science and Law.
