A Step Up Academy
Anastasia Gelin has experience as an Assistant Special Education Teacher at A Step Up Academy, where Anastasia provides direct instruction to students with Autism. Anastasia also worked as a Student Advocate at Drexel University and gained experience in IT Help Desk services at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business. Additionally, Anastasia has internship experience in threat analysis, community assistance, and application design. Anastasia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University.
A Step Up Academy
A Step Up Academy is a private, not-for-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder from Preschool through 8th grade. “A Step Up Academy prepares students to become engaged participants in society by developing innovative academic, social, emotional, and behavioral programming as well as impactful community partnerships.” Grounded in evidence-based practices with a focus on targeting the fundamental areas of communication, we work with students, families, school districts and communities to place children back into a fully inclusive environment. Our focus is to serve the growing population of young children on the autism spectrum that have significant developmental delays, speech and language difficulties, and moderate behaviors that are associated with the diagnosis. We serve children in preschool through fourth grade. A Step Up Academy targets cognitive, academic, social, sensory, and motor development, as well as adaptive and problem behaviors that interfere with learning. We offer in-house speech & language and occupational therapies.
