Madhavan Balachandran is the current Director at A2 Biotherapeutics. Prior to this position, Madhavan served as Executive Vice President Operations at Amgen from August 2007 to January 2017. Before joining Amgen, Madhavan was with uniQure N.V. and Catalent, Inc. in senior management positions.
Madhavan started their career at Burroughs Wellcome in 1993 as VP of Engineering. In 2002 they joined Amgen Inc., where they spent 5 years as VP of Puerto Rico Operations before being promoted to Executive Vice President Operations in 2007.
Madhavan has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Madhavan has a proven track record of success in both large and small organizations. Their experience spans multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, inflammation, and neuroscience.
Madhavan Balachandran has a MS in chemical engineering from University at Buffalo, a BS in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and an MBA from East Carolina University.
