Charlene Wilde has a diverse and extensive work experience. Charlene worked at AAFMAA from 2015 to the present, starting as a Team Leader, Survivor Assistance and later becoming the Assistant Secretary. In their role as Team Leader, they established operational and strategic goals, developed new partnerships, and created training procedures that significantly reduced outstanding claims. Prior to that, Charlene served as the Director at Pampered Chef from 2013 to 2015, where they led and mentored a team of junior consultants, determined sales goals, and executed marketing strategies. Charlene also served as the Committee Chair of Ways and Means at the American Forces' Spouses' Club from 2014 to 2015, coordinating fundraising activities and achieving record revenue during their tenure. Charlene's earlier work experience includes being a Family Readiness Group Leader and an Army Chemical Officer in the US Army, where they gained increasing responsibility and successfully led a company in South Korea.
Charlene Wilde completed their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, General from Pittsburg State University from 1996 to 1998. Charlene later pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Webster University, although the specific start and end years are not provided. Currently, they are attending the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they are working towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
In terms of additional certifications, Charlene obtained the DNPP Certified Digital Networking - Professional (CDN-P) certification from Tenova LLC in March 2021. Charlene also completed certifications in Informational Interviewing, Managing Your Professional Network, and Professional Networking from LinkedIn in the same month and year. Prior to that, they obtained the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) certification from LOMA in December 2020 and the Associate, Customer Service (ACS) certification from LOMA in December 2019.

AAFMAA (American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association) is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial services association that provides life insurance, military benefits counseling, Survivor Assistance Services, residential mortgages, financial planning, investment management and trust services to the American Armed Forces Community. AAFMAA is a unique association formed in 1879 whose focus is solely on serving members of the American Armed Forces Community and their families. Life insurance benefits include policies with no war clause, no terrorist clauses, and no aviation clauses or exclusions. Survivor Assistance Services are included with all member life insurance policies and serve the survivors for their lifetime. Membership eligibility extends to all ranks of the United States Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy who are Active Duty (or within 240 day after separation from service), Retirees, National Guard, Reserves, US Air Force Academy, US Coast Guard Academy, US Military Academy, US Merchant Marine Academy and US Naval Academy cadets and midshipmen. Additionally, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship/contracts and veterans residing in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Oregon and Virginia are eligible for membership.
