Mohamed Zaher

Mohamed Zaher, MBA, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product development and engineering management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Product Development at American Axle & Manufacturing, Mohamed drives compliance with ISO 26262 and ASPICE for electrification products while overseeing a cross-functional team. In addition, as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the American Sailing Institute, Mohamed has successfully led initiatives to increase membership and enhance volunteer engagement. Previous roles include Lead Product Engineer at Ford Motor Company, Regional Engineering Manager at LHP Engineering Solutions, and research positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Cairo University. An educational background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc, and a BSc from Cairo University, as well as an ongoing MBA from Gies College of Business.
