Marissa Adela Volpe, DMin, MA, currently serves as the Associate State Director for Community Outreach and Engagement at AARP, where responsibilities include leading the efforts of 22 Age-friendly designated communities in Colorado and managing AARP Challenge Grant programming. Previously, at History Colorado, Marissa held roles as Chief of Equity and Engagement and Director of Community Outreach, focusing on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion while building community partnerships. Marissa's experience also includes positions at the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado, LEADS Community Action Agency, Southeast Early Headstart, and the Peace Corps, where a commitment to serving diverse populations and fostering community engagement was demonstrated. Marissa holds advanced degrees, including a Doctorate of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Master's Degree in International and Intercultural Communication from American University, among other academic achievements.
