Stephen Jennings has extensive experience in advocacy roles within AARP, serving as Associate State Director for Advocacy in Arizona since September 2010 and previously in Rhode Island from September 2005 to September 2010. From September 1995 to September 2005, Jennings was the Director of Advocacy in Maine, leading initiatives with volunteers and staff to influence important state and federal decision-makers. Jennings also held the position of Regional Advocacy Representative, directing AARP efforts in Delaware, Maine, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. Jennings began with AARP in May 1991 as Associate Regional Director for Region 8 (Intermountain). Stephen Jennings earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History, Philosophy, Economics, and Sociology from the University of Oregon between 1972 and 1975.
