Jifeng Qian

Jifeng Qian is a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at AbbVie since June 2022, with extensive experience in bioinformatics and project management across various companies. Previously, Jifeng held the position of Staff Scientist at Progenity, Inc., where responsibilities included program management for a Class II de novo 510k medical device and the development of large-scale data mining approaches in the cloud. Jifeng also served as Infrastructure Lead, leading efforts in constructing computational biology infrastructure and automating data processing pipelines. Prior experience includes a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer role at Illumina, where Jifeng focused on software testing and automation, and a postdoctoral position at Keck Graduate Institute that involved social network analysis related to pharmaceutical companies. Jifeng's educational background includes a PhD in Computational and System Biology from both Claremont Graduate University and Keck Graduate Institute.
