Mark Reppell

Mark Reppell is a seasoned professional in the field of genetics and biostatistics, currently serving as a Director at AbbVie since June 2017. In this role, Mark acts as the Convergence Catalyst for the Genomics Research Center, focusing on cross-functional collaboration in data strategy and knowledge exchange while promoting data standards and FAIR principles. Prior to this, Mark held the position of Principal Research Scientist, leading the Population Cohorts group to identify and interpret genetic evidence for target-indication pairs. Mark's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist II in the Computational Genetics Group at AbbVie, a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Human Genetics at The University of Chicago, and a Graduate Student in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Mark's educational background includes a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan and a BS in Mathematics, Ecology, and Evolutionary Biology from Tulane University. Additional experience includes work as a Geographic Analyst at NAVTEQ and a Jeep Guide at Alaska Travel Adventures.
