Jody Pennington serves as the Deputy Chair of the School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University since February 2018, and has been a member of the Board of Studies Executive Committee since 2002. Pennington has contributed to various committees, including the Faculty of Arts Task Group focused on structural analysis and the Works Committee. Additionally, Pennington holds the position of Associate Professor in Media and Culture Studies, and has also chaired both the Board of Studies and the Department of English within the same school. An accomplished author, Pennington wrote "The History of Sex in American Film" and has been affiliated with Praeger since 2006. Prior experience includes a role as Associate Professor in American Studies at Roskilde University and a Foreign Lecturer position at Aarhus University. Education includes a PhD in American Studies from Aarhus University and a BA in American Literature and US History from Georgia Southwestern State University.
