Scheduling Assistant at ABC of NC Child Development Center

Laura Bradford has extensive experience in child development and recreational therapy. Currently serving as a Scheduling Assistant at ABC of NC Child Development Center since August 2017, Laura supports the operations coordinator with scheduling tasks and provides customer service to clients and their families. Previous roles include Registered Behavior Technician and Lead Autism Teacher, where direct client service and data management were key responsibilities. Prior experience also includes Assistant Director of Recreation Therapy at Givens Highland Farms, where Laura assisted in program development and facilitated group activities tailored to residents' needs. ABC of NC is a not-for-profit private school and research-based provider of educational and psychological services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The vision of ABC of NC is that all children with autism spectrum disorder reach their full potential through effective teaching. Mission ABC of NC is committed to providing quality individualized educational services using evidence-based practices in the field of autism treatment to children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. We are committed to seeking funding from a variety of sources so that we can provide services to families from any economic background. We support each student in developing the skills and motivation necessary to be able to learn and thrive in the least restrictive setting possible. ABC of NC combines a variety of evidence-based teaching strategies such as discrete trial training, verbal behavior, natural environment training, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and fluency training. All teaching methods are science-based (i.e. proven effective) and individually tailored to the needs of the children.The center has been funded by a variety of sources—tuition, grants, public funding and monies obtained through fundraisers.
