Wale Aliyu

Wale Aliyu is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in broadcast news. Currently serving as the Evening Anchor at ABC 10News San Diego since October 2022, Wale previously held roles as a News Reporter and Anchor at WFXT Boston 25 News and as a Reporter at NBC New York. With a career spanning over a decade, Wale has consistently broken national stories, won multiple awards including an Emmy and the Big Apple Award for reporting, and earned recognition as a 40Under40 honoree. Previous positions include Reporter and Multi-Media Journalist at WKYC-TV, Reporter and Anchor at Sinclair Broadcast Group, Journalism Instructor for the City of Columbia, and various reporting roles at Newsy.com, KMIZ-TV, KOMU-TV, and KBIA 91.3 FM. Wale holds a Bachelor's degree in Convergence Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
