Andrew W. Lo

Andrew W. Lo is the director at AbCellera and the chairman emeritus and senior advisor at AlphaSimplex Group. Andrew was previously employed at MIT and the University of Pennsylvania.

Lo began their career in 1987 as the W.P. Carey Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. In January 1999, they joined AlphaSimplex Group as their chairman emeritus and senior advisor, a position they held until December 2021. Lo is currently the director at AbCellera.

Andrew W. Lo is an economist and the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Andrew received their B.A. in economics from Yale University and their Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
