Jared Dutra

Jared Dutra is an accomplished Associate Research Scientist at AbCellera since May 2021, with previous experience as a Research Technician. Prior roles include a Work-Learn/Co-op Student at the Klein Geltink Lab at BCCHR, where investigations focused on T cell anti-tumor responses. Additional research experience encompasses investigating protein functions in the hypoxia response of C. elegans at the Center for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics and purifying proteins for vaccine development at the R. E. W Hancock Lab. Jared's early academic research involved studying viral immune responses in C. elegans at Simon Fraser University's Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and supporting data analysis and lab preparation at the Centre for Applied Research and Innovation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Honours degree in Biotechnology from The University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Biotechnology with Distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
