Mallesh Murugesan

Mallesh Murugesan is the founder and CEO of Abeyon. Mallesh has also served on the committee for HIMSS Connected Health, and on the ITOM Advisory Board for Florida Atlantic University. Mallesh was also the Director of Business Development and Emerging Strategies at Miami Children's Hospital. In that role, they were responsible for developing and executing strategic IT initiatives; leading service innovation and new digital technology initiatives for the hospital. Mallesh applied their expertise in IT, Software development and Management in directing and accomplishing Miami Children's strategic technology goals. Mallesh has extensive experience in Business Process Management (BPM), Software Development and Process Excellence. Mallesh led Web development and Mobile development teams and was responsible for Miami Children's Mobile strategy and development. Mallesh provided strategy and IT insights on telemedicine initiatives and led deployment of Telemedicine initiatives. Mallesh formulated business plan for successful deployment of Mobile devices (iPad and iPhones) in a hospital environment. Mallesh established policies and security structure in place for efficient and effective usage of the device. Mallesh identified new technologies and initiatives that will assist the organization in meeting and exceeding its growth objectives and vision as set forth by the overarching Hospital strategy.

Mallesh Murugesan holds an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, with a focus in marketing and strategy. Mallesh also holds an MS in information systems from George Mason University. Mallesh's undergraduate studies were in electronics and communications engineering, and they hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Madras University.
