Abingworth
John has worked on venture capital financings and exits in the US, UK and across Europe for more than 20 years. He has also taken a leading role in initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of venture capital deal structuring on both sides of the Atlantic. At Abingworth, John is responsible for deal co-ordination and provides legal assistance to the life sciences and healthcare teams in their investment programme. John also oversees fund legal agreements and SEC compliance.
John joined Abingworth in 2006 from Intel Capital, the venture capital investment arm of Intel Corporation, where he was European Legal Counsel. Prior to this, John was an Associate at the international financial law practise, Hughes Hubbard & Reed, based in Washington, DC, US, and subsequently in Paris, France. He is a qualified UK Solicitor and a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland State Bars in the US. John received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and BA from the University of Richmond.
