Charles Perkins

Charles Perkins has over a decade of experience in product development and research within the medical technology sector. Currently serving as Associate Director of Product Development at Abiomed since January 2019, Charles has previously held positions including Product Development Manager and Senior R&D Engineer II / Manager in Training. Prior experience includes working as Staff R&D Engineer at Biosense Webster, where Charles was the Technical Lead for a multi-electrode ablation catheter program. Additional roles include R&D Engineer and Project Manager at Agile MV, where responsibilities encompassed the design and development of cardiovascular catheter technologies and various project management tasks, as well as R&D Engineer at Bavaria Medical Technology. Charles began the engineering career as a Jr. R&D Engineer at CrossChasm Technologies. A graduate of McGill University with a B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Charles brings a comprehensive skill set in engineering, quality assurance, and project management to the field.
