Qingchao Kong

Qingchao "Andy" Kong has extensive experience in product development engineering, currently serving as Principal Product Development Engineer at Abiomed since December 2018. Previous roles within Abiomed include Senior Product Development Engineer and DFM and Process Development Engineer. Prior to this, Qingchao worked as a Product Engineer at Diamond Diagnostics Inc, where responsibilities included mechanical design, engineering analysis, and rapid prototyping. Additional experience includes an internship at Abiomed as an Impella Co-op, and research assistant positions in the Underwater Robotics Laboratory and Biomedical Mechatronics Laboratory at Northeastern University, focusing on projects related to robotics, rehabilitation systems, and mechanical design. Qingchao holds a Master's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering and another Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics and Automation Engineering.
