Cathy Whitman

Cathy Whitman is an accomplished Senior Analytical Scientist and Senior Materials Technologist at ABK Biomedical Inc. since September 2021, previously serving in the same role at Dalhousie University from September 2020 to September 2021. With extensive experience as a Research Associate at Dalhousie University from May 2007 to April 2020, Cathy focused on various research projects, including polyphosphate glass microspheres for biomedical applications, high-temperature thermal analysis of advanced materials, and the thermal properties of heat storage and negative thermal expansion materials. Additionally, Cathy worked as a Lead Research Chemist at Imperial Oil from April 2005 to April 2007, conducting research on turbine oils, greases, and distillate fuels. Cathy holds a PhD in Chemistry from Dalhousie University (1999-2005) and a BSc in Chemistry from St. Francis Xavier University (1995-1999).
