Jim Barnhart

Jim Barnhart is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the materials and processes field. Currently serving as Managing Director and overseeing Business Development at Abrasive Technology, LLC since October 2011, Jim specializes in integrating the Demand process for Clearance Control Coatings, leveraging a strong technical background and international cultural awareness. Previously, Jim worked at Rolls-Royce North America for over a decade in various roles, including Commodity Leader, where leadership of a global procurement team was key, and as a Materials and Processes Senior Specialist, focusing on F136 engine materials and safety investigations. Earlier experience includes a position as Director of Quality and Technology at Qualitech Steel, where Jim initiated the QS9000 system approval and established metallurgical analysis facilities. Jim holds a Master of Science in Materials from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering from Rutgers University.
