Martin Berkley

Martin Berkley possesses a strong background in change management and operational improvement, currently serving as the Head of Platform Change Delivery at abrdn since May 2010. Throughout a progressive career, Martin has held multiple leadership roles including Head of Platform Assurance, Head of Business Solutions, and Head of Marketing Operations & Planning. Prior to this, Martin was an Executive Assistant to the UK CIO and Group CTO at Standard Life, and a Senior Operational Improvement Manager focused on developing continuous improvement strategies within the UK Change Delivery and IT department. Earlier experience includes a position as a Senior Programme Manager within the business change department and as a Process Development Manager at Devro Scotland Ltd, where lean manufacturing methodologies were implemented. Martin's career began at Freescale Semiconductor as a Process Engineer in the Diffusion process group. Martin holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
