Antonio Peramo, FRM has extensive work experience in the field of risk management. Antonio started their career in 2002 at BBVA as a Market Risk Analyst. Antonio then moved to Banco Santander, where they held multiple roles including Head of Control and Oversight in Spain, Risk Area, Head of Consolidation in Spain, Risk Area, and Responsible for market risks in off-shore books, equities & commodities. Additionally, they completed a Development Program for Risk Managers at Banco Santander. Currently, Antonio is working at ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) since 2023.
Antonio Peramo, FRM, has a comprehensive education history that spans from 1995 to 2018. Antonio began their educational journey at Universidad CEU San Pablo, where they completed their degree in Economics. Antonio received the prestigious Ángel Herrera award for achieving the best academic record during this time period.
Building on their economic foundation, Antonio pursued further education by obtaining a Master's degree in Financial Analysis at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2000-2001.
Recognizing the significance of risk management in their field, Antonio engaged in an Executive Program in Risks at Escuela de Finanzas BBVA in 2001-2002. Here, they acquired essential knowledge in the banking industry and risks associated with it.
In 2002-2003, Antonio further enhanced their risk management expertise by completing the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) program offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals. This certification demonstrated their competence in addressing various financial risks.
Continuing their dedication to risk management, Antonio pursued an Advanced Program in Options and Futures at IEB in 2003. This program provided expertise in navigating the complexities associated with options and futures in financial markets.
To broaden their knowledge and skills, Antonio undertook the Advanced Program in Financial Risk at the International Faculty of Finance in 2010. This program further solidified their understanding of financial risk management.
Recognizing the importance of executive development and leadership, Antonio attended the Executive Development & Leadership Program at HEC Paris in 2018. This program equipped him with the necessary skills to thrive in leadership positions.
Lastly, Antonio attended two executive programs related to wholesale banking risks and risks in the business environment. Antonio participated in the Executive Program in Wholesale Banking Risks at Deusto Business School in 2012, emphasizing their understanding of risk management specific to the wholesale banking sector. In 2011, Antonio also completed the Executive Program in Risks at IE Business School, further amplifying their expertise in risk management.
