Khaled Abul Borghol is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable software solutions. Currently serving as a Lead Software Engineer at ABYAT since February 2020, Khaled has successfully developed high-performance microservices using Java and Spring, and led a team in building a new e-commerce platform. Prior to this role, Khaled worked at ROAMWORKS, where responsibilities included leveraging Azure IoT events and creating scalable microservices for IoT data processing. Early career experience includes roles as a Junior Business Intelligence Engineer and Full Stack Web Developer, as well as internships at Depa Group and Kuwaiti Digital Computer Company. Khaled holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.

With an ambitious expansion plan, ABYAT's first store was opened in Kuwait in March 2008. With Kuwait as the company's launch pad, ABYAT is actively pursuing starting operations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman over the coming 10 years. The first branch in the GCC area opened in Dammam, KSA in 2012.
