David Gagnon

David Gagnon has extensive experience in the financial industry. David is currently the Managing Director and Head of US Treasury Trading at Academy Securities since August 2021. Previously, they served as a Senior Vice President at Jefferies LLC from August 2014 to July 2021. Prior to that, they held the same role at Jefferies Japan Limited from 2009 to 2014. David also worked as a Senior Vice President at Smith Breeden Associates, Inc. from 2003 to 2009 and at UBS PaineWebber from 1990 to 2000.

David Gagnon has a BA in Economics from Georgetown University. David also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach and Machine Learning: Regression from Coursera Course Certificates. David is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and has certifications in Registered Representative (Series 1 & 2), Series 3, Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 from various institutions such as the CFA Institute, the Japan Securities Dealer Association (JSDA), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
