Senior Director, Communications at Atlantic Coast Conference

Andy Fledderjohann is an experienced communications professional in the sports sector, currently serving as the Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Communications at the Atlantic Coast Conference since July 2019. In this role, Fledderjohann acts as the primary media liaison for ACC men's basketball and manages media operations for key events such as the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament. Prior to this position, Fledderjohann was the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications & Content at the University of Miami, where responsibilities included overseeing the communications department and serving as the primary media liaison for the men's basketball program. Fledderjohann's earlier experience includes working as the Assistant Media Relations Director at the University of Virginia, managing media relations for several nationally ranked sports programs, and coordinating various publicity and communication efforts. Fledderjohann holds a BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University and an MA in Sports Administration from Marshall University.
