Lee Thornton

Dr Lee Thornton has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2006, they were a Project Manager at AWE. From 2008 to 2015, they were a Trade Commissioner, Science and Technology Programme Manager, and Technology Development Officer at the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Partner - Deeptech and Investment Director at IP Group plc. In 2016, they were a Non Executive Director at both AccelerComm Ltd and Common Era Ltd. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Non Executive Director at AudioScenic Limited, where they were responsible for introducing the latest technologies developed in the S3A project “Future Spatial Audio for an Immersive Listening at Home”. Finally, from 2020 to 2022, they were Acting Chairman at Intrinsic and Non Executive Director at Quantum Dice.

Dr Lee Thornton obtained a Master of Chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2002 and a DPhil in Physical Chemistry from the same institution in 2006.
