Kent Lietzau

VP, Business Development at Accion Systems

As the Vice President of Business Development at Accion Systems, Kent Lietzau is responsible for developing relationships and collaborations with propulsion customers to establish and grow Accion’s TILE market acceptability and presence.

Kent has over 25 years in the aerospace industry with recent experience establishing new customers for leading-edge space technologies. He has built and led business development organizations at Lockheed Martin, United Launch Alliance, and SEAKR Engineering, managing engagements across U.S. government customers, aerospace primes, and commercial and international customers. Kent also has prior experience helping launch a successful startup company (Aeroxchange) in the commercial aerospace industry.

Kent has had wide-ranging career experiences culminating in his focus on business development. He began his career as a Flight Test Engineer in the U.S. Air Force, and later studied at MIT and worked on the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Mars Pathfinder rover as a Draper Laboratory Fellow. Experience in management consulting at McKinsey & Co, and leading strategic planning for Honeywell Defense & Space and Lockheed Martin provided him a solid foundation in business strategy.
