Melanie O'Brien

Melanie O'Brien is an experienced professional in research and advisory roles, currently serving as the Head of Research & Standards at AccountAbility. Previously, Melanie held multiple leadership positions at Gartner, including VP, ESG Analyst, and Vice President Team Manager for both North America and APAC, as well as with Finance and Assurance Practices in the APAC region. Additional experience includes a managerial role in Economics and Commercial Advisory at Deloitte Australia and advisory positions focused on communications, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy at SMEC and the Office of the NSW Small Business Commissioner, respectively. Melanie O'Brien holds a Master's degree in International Law with a concentration in Environment and Trade Law from the University of Sydney and a Master's degree in International Law from East China University of Political Science and Law.
