Brian Smith currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Services and CHRO at Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital since November 2022. With a long-standing affiliation with Accreditation Canada beginning in 2010, Brian holds the position of Accreditation Canada Surveyor (Team Leader). Prior to their current roles, significant experience was gained at Queensway Carleton Hospital from 2000 to October 2022, where Brian held various titles including Clinical Director for multiple departments, Manager for cardiopulmonary, pharmacy, laboratory, and respiratory therapy, as well as Senior Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Therapist. Early career experience includes working as a Respiratory Therapist at The Ottawa Hospital from 2004 to 2006 and as a Paramedic with the City of Ottawa from 1999 to 2004. Brian's academic background includes studies at Charles Sturt University, Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, and Centennial College.
