Mike Tew has extensive work experience in various roles within the manufacturing industry. Mike started their career as a Technical Apprentice at WB Machining Services Ltd in 1998. Mike then moved on to Hampson Aerospace Machining, where they worked as a Project Engineer, Quality Engineer, and eventually became the Quality Manager. In 2009, they joined Bromford Industries Limited as the Quality Manager for the IGT Division and later became the Operations Manager. In 2014, they joined Meggitt Control Systems Birmingham as the Quality Manager and then became the Operations Manager. From 2016 to the present, they have held various positions at Accrofab and Bromford Group, including Operations Director and General Manager. Throughout their career, Mike has been responsible for overseeing production, quality, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and finance, with a focus on achieving operational metrics and driving continuous improvement.
Mike Tew has a diverse education history. Mike began by completing an Engineering Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering at North East Worcestershire College from 1998 to 2002. Mike then pursued further studies in Mechanical Engineering, receiving an NC (National Certificate) from North East Worcestershire College from 2002 to 2004 and an HNC (Higher National Certificate) from 2004 to 2006. Mike continued their academic journey at Birmingham City University, earning a BEng (Hons) degree in Management of Manufacturing Systems from 2006 to 2009. Mike later focused on Management and Leadership by completing a CMI Level 5 Diploma at North East Worcestershire College from 2009 to 2010. This was followed by studies at the University of Worcester, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma (PgDip) in Management Studies from 2010 to 2012 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business from 2010 to 2013.

Precision component manufacture - welcome to Accrofab, the performance critical component specialists Accrofab produce a wide range of components and assemblies for aero, marine and power generation gas turbines as well as other specialist engineering applications. Aero Engines Products include critical performance components and assemblies found throughout modern commercial turbofan engines, in addition to military fixed and rotary wing gas turbines and marine derivatives. Industrial Gas Turbines Products include combustion cans, transition pieces and seals, baffles, core plugs, air tubes, impingement plates and small pressed parts for original equipment or repair and overhaul. Landing gear Products include torque link assemblies, articulated links, twisted links, retraction links, lock links and critical pins for nose and main landing gear applications. Nuclear Products include machined and welded assemblies for nuclear marine applications. Existing knowledge and experience is transferred to civil nuclear opportunities. Development and re-engineering services Bromford Group maintain a specialised engineering service for the supply of a wide range of complex aero gas turbine components in low volumes. The service ranges from project management of development work at the leading edge of current manufacturing technology, to the supply of spares to restock out of production programmes.
