Saravanan Shanmugam

Saravanan Shanmugam has extensive experience in the energy and engineering industries. Saravanan began their career in 2009 as a Hydraulic Technical Lead at Caterpillar, where they were promoted to Hydraulics Liaison Engineer. In 2013, they joined Schlumberger as a Mechanical Engineer and Field Engineer, where they excelled in the Tech and Field Training Program and worked on offshore ESP design and rig installations. In 2018, they completed a Master Thesis Student role at Fraunhofer UMSICHT and a Energy Data & Contract Management Work Student role at Grand City Property. From 2019 to 2020, they were an Expert Energy Systems - Powerfuels and Power-to-X at Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH Dena, where they led Hydrogen and Power-to-X project development for ministerial and industrial clients in China, Russia, and Germany. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at ACCURE Battery Intelligence.

Saravanan Shanmugam has a well-rounded educational background. Saravanan completed a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in 2008. Saravanan then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Offshore Oil & Gas Technology from the National University of Singapore in 2011-2012. Most recently, they completed a Master of Business Administration in Energy Management from the Technische Universität Berlin in 2019. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, such as a Six Sigma Green Belt from Caterpillar Inc. in 2011, a Solar Photovoltaic Off-grid and On-grid: Design and Installation from the Government of India - Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in 2017, a Goethe Zertifikat B1 from the Goethe-Institut e.V. in 2017, a Python for Financial Analysis and Algorithmic Trading from Udemy in 2020, and a Data Analyst in Python from Dataquest.io in 2020.
