Edske Smit

Edske Smit, CFA, currently serves as the Enterprise Risk Manager at Achmea since September 2021, focusing on integrating ESG in risk management, conducting scenario and stress testing, and managing model risks. Prior roles include Data Quality Expert at Nationale-Nederlanden, Management Consultant and Content Lead Risk at ITDS Business Consultants, and Privacy Risk Consultant for Allianz Partners. Edske also held positions such as Financial Controller & Reporter for Zorg en Zekerheid and Senior Risk Manager at First Pensions, demonstrating a strong background in risk management across various financial institutions. Edske holds a Master of Science in Human Geography and Planning from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Science in Social Geography and Planning from the same institution, along with additional studies at Wayne State University.
